Head Architect | Founder of Deda & Architects

Arch Maria Deda

Maria Deda was born in 1976 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
She is a graduate of the American College Anatolia, in Thessaloniki. She studied Architecture at Ecole Special D’ Architecture E.S.A. in Paris.

Since then Maria has collaborated with various architectural offices in Greece and abroad. She has received distinctions in architectural competitions, while projects of Deda & Architects have been presented to the press and several exhibitions.

Maria has vast experience in strategic architectural design and planning, ranging from neighborhood scale and public space interventions to holistic, large scale mixed use urban development proposals. In her role as project director and planner, technical and strategic advisor in the development sector, she has been involved in a variety of projects. She is able to support successfully largescale projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

Senior Architect

MArch Varvara Karaoglou

Varvara Karaoglou was born in 1973 in Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture, Art and Ephemeral Space from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. She received her diploma in Architecture from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki ιn 1998. During her studies she completed an Erasmus program in Urban planning and interned at an architectural practice specializing in Restorations and Rehabilitation of Listed Buildings.

Since graduating, she has collaborated in architecture, landscaping and project management firms in Thessaloniki [GR], Barcelona [SP] and Doha [QR]. She is experienced in a wide array of architectural projects ranging from Residential and Administration Buildings, Shopping Malls and Educational Institutions to Cultural and Tourism Facilities. She joined Deda & Architects in 2017

Besides her architectural practice she has experience teaching in workshops and working in Interdisciplinary Workgroups and Research Projects.

Senior Architect

MArch Maria Koukoutsi

Maria Koukoutsi was born in 1976 in Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds Bachelor diploma in Architecture from the University of Huddersfield, U.K. and from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She received her Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture, from the University of Huddersfield, U.K in 2000.

Throughout her career Maria has been part of architectural teams for a variety of building projects ranging from Residential and Administration Buildings, to Health Care and Educational Institutions, from Shopping Malls and Commercial Buildings to Hotels and Tourism Facilities in general. She is a part of DA’s team since 2018.

Maria focuses her work on designing buildings and spaces that comfort, please and uplift the users, making living inside a joyful experience. Our scope is to create healthy buildings for a greener tomorrow.

Architect

MArch Iro Koutsioumpa

Iro Koutsioumpa was born in 1988 in Karditsa, Greece. She graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Architecture department in 2013 and she gained her MSc in “Strategic Product Design” (IHU) in 2017.

Since 2017 is a member of D&A architectural team. She has also participated in several workshops, seminars and architectural competitions.

Iro is interested in everything that comes with creativity and enjoy designing spaces that reflect minimal aesthetic. She also fascinated by graphic design and try to use her graphics skills into architectural projects.
