Skopelos Suites I is a unique settlement which combines traditional elements and contemporary minimal aesthetic. This hospitality project is about a 3-floor preserved building 100 years old which is located in the center of the island.
The main concern of the design team was to reveal the exterior facades of this and create functional and cozy spaces for different type of accommodation.
Every storey offers a different experience to the visitor.
The main building materials and the color palette of the project are according the tradition and the characteristics of the island. Both the exterior and the interior walls are painted with natural powder kourasanit in earthy and off-white colors, the traditional wooden doors and windows are painted in grey blue and the lighting fixtures are mainly from natural materials or minimal metallic forms. The inside floors are covered in oak wood boards and stone tiles in the same color tones. Most of the furniture are custom made creations from wood or metallic elements or they are carefully selected to fit in a summer house.
It is a place that creates memories.
